Corporate History

Goodman was founded in 1982 by Harold Goodman. Goodman purchased Janitrol in 1982 and the Amana brand in 1997. In 2004, Apollo Management, a private investment firm, purchased Goodman for approximately $1.4 billion.

Goodman now has one of the top ratings among consumers and has now extended their warranties to lifetime compressor and 10 years on parts. This is one of the best warranties in the business
